God asked Mary – strong, loving and brave – if she was willing to be the vessel through which salvation came into the world. Bearing the Incarnate Son of God, Mary opened the portals of heaven that we might receive the abundance of God’s mercy and God’s grace. We are children of God, siblings of Jesus Christ, and heirs of eternal life when we, like Mary, say yes to the inestimable love of God.
